Hi Everyone and welcome to the Better Dog Collars site.

I created this site to give dog owners better options to select collars for your dog. Gone are the days when dog collars only had the purpose of identification for your pet. Now, dog collars are fun, functional and fantastic!

JENNY’S STORY

I have been a cat owner for all my life. I love cats and they seem to follow me, seeking affection. Yes, I talk to them and play with them. I even create cat toys, habitats and games for them. My current cat is a tuxedo cat named “Scotty”.

About 9 years ago, my husband’s dog started to adopt me as her favorite human. Stella is an American Staffordshire Terrier and the reason I moved away from my consulting businesses which kept me away from her and I became a Professional Pet Sitter offering Pet Guardian Services. On my site, KeepStellaSafe.com, I offer Pet Guardian services to pet owners during pet owner emergencies. If a Pet Owner living alone has an emergency, our Pet Guardian services take care of the pet until the owner recovers.

Stella is tuned in to my feelings, moods, and actions. She follows me wherever I go. I am so happy I am not working on businesses that I can do with her by my side. While working next to her, I have noticed that the collar I had for her just didn’t work well. It cut into her neck and bothered her shoulder arthritis. So I searched for a new collar for her.

A COLLAR IS NOT JUST A COLLAR

While searching for Stella’s collar, I have discovered different uses of dog collars. My dogs and many of the dogs I walk use dog collars very differently. Some are part of the leash, some are not used in the harness process, some are ornamental, and others are just informational. I decided to capture the various dog collars uses and variations into one shop for all pet owners.

Collars are used for restraint, identification, decoration, correction, and as part of a harness system. When you look for a collar, you need to know how you will use it in order to find the correct one. That is what this site is meant to do for you.

COLLARS BASED ON USE

Dog collars are not used universally the same by all pet owners. This site is set up to filter collars based on uses in order for you to find the perfect collar. I categorized the collars so searching for the right collar will be easier for you.

I understand that you don’t just have “any dog”. Your dog is your best friend, your side-kick, and your heart. It is important to get the right collar for your dog. My job is to help you out with that.
